Bronze World

One of my forays into a form of "realism" rather than abstract work. I guess it should be considered as pure fantasy art. It was great fun to do and I don't think the series is complete yet, though I don't know when the next one will be made.

I am interested in how people react to the landscape around them often drawing a sense of awe and spiritual inspiration from what they see and experience. Bronze World is an imaginary place where I can explore some of these ideas without treading on the toes of established religion and causing unintended or unnecessary offence.

I am more interested in the impressions and emotions evoked rather than specifics of doctrine or theory. I have explored this subject before in both land art and sculpture. The sculpture can be seen here on this page from my  old site. Images of the Bronze World series can be seen here.
