Painters are like Daleks when faced with a canvas we can’t go forward until all the white has been exterminated.

About Piers Bishop: -

The work is contemporary, encompassing both figurative and abstract art. A range of media are used including painting, drawing and digital. Though there is variety there are many common strands, these are described in more detail in my statement.

A strong interest in science and nature has influenced the artwork, but it has also been shaped by the changing circumstances of my life. I hope you enjoy my work, listed below are some areas where you might like to begin that exploration: -

Landscape

This is a recurring theme, I enjoy the complex and chaotic patterns which occur not only within the landscape, but also in the way we navigate our way through it. “Journey” is a triptych evolved from that process of navigation.
